One of the organizers of the event, a psychologist of the Fund “The Way Home”, Arina Litvinenko, said: “Only the preparation for the holiday has taken a few weeks for the creative team of the summer camp. This was script writing and preparation of costumes, text and dance rehearsals”. It was decided to hold the event in several places: at the native element of Neptune – at the sea and at the camp site “Wave”; its director, Valentin Sidorin agreed to play the part of the sea lord.
First on the beach, where it was planned to hold the festival, was a small interlude – all participants in their costumes were distributed along the beach and engaged their “professional” activities – gypsy fortuned, pirates tried to drag the guest`s things, mermaids and devils dragged into the water willing and unwilling people. Thus, the boys attracted attention at themselves and at the beginning of the holiday and the audience, and gathered a large number of people who wished to participate at the feast.
Briefly about the story of the holiday: Neptune has lost his son and kids detachment from summer camp volunteered to help the Sea Lord. Children had to go through all the competitions and tasks, which were produced by the leaders of the holiday, to find all the tips pointing to the location of the son of Neptune. The contests were diverse – children collected “corals”, scattered around the beach; “drinkers” drank water in different postures, the boys carried the girls for the time and rate. There were a lot of tasks, but children have coped with them very well.
The second part of the festival was held at the camp site “Wave”; there concert, created by young tourists, was shown to the audience at the distance from the rolling surf. According to the plot Neptune “was bored” and asked to cheer him. It is not necessary to ask the inmates of “The Way Home” twice – on an improvised stage the kids performed dance, vocal and comic numbers. Feedback from the audience was very good, but it was still not the end of the evening – the sweet table waited for all participants and guests, without which we cannot do any holiday organized by Foundation “The Way Home”.
